Energy supplier modernises its electrical infrastructure

Energy supplier modernises its electrical infrastructure

Energy supplier, ENGIE, is replacing its older breaker components with modern circuit breaker.

The upgrades will help protect critical assets against potential short circuits and prevent severe damage and lengthy plant stoppages.

ENGIE will use a circular approach to the upgrades to extract as much value out of older equipment and extend their lifespan.

This will also help the energy supplier with its decarbonisation goals.

The improvements will also lower the risk of electrical contact injuries, improving the standards of safety for employees.

ENGIE’s Technology Manager, Nico Verroken, said: "Our innovative heat and power plants harness the waste heat created during electricity generation and convert it to usable power for the local infrastructure, so their continuous and safe operation is absolutely essential."
