Is the weather any different to what it was a hundred years ago? Is climate change actually nothing new?

It's a big question that the Met Office's Hadley Centre of Climate Research has been trying to answer by looking back at historical data.

Dr Mark McCarthy and his team have looked up historical records going back to the Victorian era and beyond - finding that weather extremes are nothing new!
