Walsall could benefit from dozens of new EV charge points

The council is optimistic these installations will help it on its road to achieving net zero by 2050

Big Zero Report 2023

A £340,000 government-funded scheme could see Walsall have dozens of new electric vehicle (EV) charging points installed throughout the town.

Walsall Council has developed a report of the best places to deploy the chargers, with a consultation with residents set to take place before any installations.

The council is hopeful that these EV charge points will contribute to a reduction in its emissions and help it achieve its aim of net zero by 2050.

Residents without access to driveways will be able to charge their EVs throughout the town if these plans go ahead.
