Blackstone appoints new Global Head of ESG

Investment management company Blackstone has announced Amisha Parekh as the firm’s new Global Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

Ms Parekh will sit within the firm’s portfolio operations to ensure ESG is at the heart of policy, development and strategy.

Through the new appointment, Blackstone is looking to implement ESG into the investment lifecycle.

The new role follows five other newly created senior positions since April, in the US, Europe and Asia that focus on sustainability.
