‘Unprecedented business opportunities abound as UK tackles climate change’

As the UK takes the lead in tackling climate change, 2020 is set to be a year of unprecedented opportunity for business.

That's according to Clare Harbord, Drax Group Director of Corporate Affairs, who has announced: "By investing in the skills and new technologies needed to get the country to net zero, businesses can be world-leading, creating new opportunities to develop and grow.

"Despite all of the challenges we face – this is a year of great opportunity for British business to take a world-leading role in tackling the climate crisis.

She added it was vital for companies to seize the opportunities of infrastructure, new technology and investment that will put the country and its businesses "at the heart of a global green economy" and suggested that with COP26 approaching, "there is no better time" for the government to show its support for UK enterprise, innovators and technologies.
