‘Kids on Christian curriculum textbooks told climate denial’

‘Kids on Christian curriculum textbooks told climate denial’

Children being taught at schools that use the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum are being told that climate change is not real.

That’s according to research by University College London, claiming they are also being told that evolution is not possible.

The researchers state that at least 11 UK schools use this curriculum, which originates from 1970s Texas.

It teaches students that human-induced climate change is not the reality – and that in truth God is planning to create an Earth that has a better climate in the future.

Dr Jenna Scaramanga, lead author of the study, said: “The children who are being deprived of an education because of this system matter deserve better. It might be that there are very few of them but they matter because every child matters.”

A spokesperson from the Department for Education stated that independent schools are required to “provide a full-time supervised education in multiple fields such as science and creative education.”

“Any school which teaches a curriculum that does not meet these requirements will not meet the Independent School Standards and subsequent action may be taken in line with our published policy,” they added.

Christian Education Europe, in charge of the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum in the UK has been contacted for a response.
