Plumber opens £500k low carbon centre

A plumbing services company from Burnley has invested £500,000 into opening a new low carbon centre.

James Hargreaves has opened the facility at its headquarters, which will train its engineers and plumbers in energy efficiency and sustainability.

Heat pumps, domestic heating, underfloor heating and water supply are all areas that the plumbers will be trained in for both installations and understanding.

Bill Davies, Sales Director at James Hargreaves, said: “This is a major step forward for us, a great new facility specifically designed to train heating engineers, installers and plumbers to be best-placed on delivering an efficient and effective low carbon future.

“First and foremost, we must ensure that all our customers - many that we already know well and others that we hope to get to know in the coming weeks and months - are completely comfortable with low carbon energy and have all the necessary skills, qualifications and training to install efficiently.”
