Hyundai is sending 27 heavy-duty hydrogen trucks to German firms.
These trucks are powered by a 180KW hydrogen fuel cell system – and will be used by businesses in retail, logistics and manufacturing to cut their carbon footprint.
Seven unnamed companies will benefit from the trucks, Hyundai has revealed, after funding from the German government has made their importation possible.
Germany is putting up a reported €1.6 billion (£1.35bn) to buy zero-emission vehicles for its businesses.
Hyundai has already sent 47 of these hydrogen trucks to Switzerland and has set an aim to build hydrogen versions of all its commercial vehicles by 2028.
