Anne Buckingham, Sales Director, SWARCO Smart Charging
Anne has been focussed on electric vehicle infrastructure and fleet electrification since 2015, with strategic and leadership roles in some of the sector’s leading organisations: SSE Enterprise, Siemens Mobility, EO Charging and SWARCO Smart Charging. She has built, managed and led effective sales teams, developed sector strategy, customer and channel partner collaborations, and integrated with operational teams to design and deliver fleet electrification projects – for public and private sector customers and fleet operators (car, van, bus and truck).
Niall Riddell, Co-Founder and CEO, Paua
Niall spent a period at the Committee on Climate Change in 2007 writing the UK’s first legally binding carbon budgets. He came away knowing that we need to decarbonise electricity, then electrify everything else. So his transition from 15 years in energy utilities (RWE, British Energy, EDF Energy and SSE) into the world of electric mobility was an obvious step. Niall was Head of Electric Vehicles at EDF Energy and Smart Systems Sector Director at SSE. In 2021 he founded Paua – who seek to simplify public electric vehicle charging, giving your business all the tools you need to access and use public EV charging. Niall has a degree in Chemical and Process Engineering and an MBA from CASS Business School. He’s number 94 on GreenFleet’s list of the UK’s most influential decision makers on low-carbon fleets.
Simon Pickett, Technology and Innovation Lead, SSE Energy Solutions
Simon is responsible for identifying and implementing new EV charging technologies across SSE Energy Solutions. This includes engaging with innovative businesses and concepts to continually push us towards net zero. He also continues to work with customers to deploy ultra-rapid charging hubs for fleets and communities across the UK.
Oliver McMillen, Business Development Director, SSE Energy Solutions
Oliver is responsible for the development and delivery of products and services to support SSE’s customers in the transition to net zero. This ranges from the purchasing of renewable electricity; to the deployment, management and optimisation of low-carbon infrastructure.
