The UK ranks second in the world for the amount of sustainable businesses it has.

That’s according to research from Uswitch, which revealed the countries that have the most B Corp certified companies.

B Corps are awarded to businesses that meet the highest standards when it comes to sustainability and environmental impact.

The United States sits at the top, with 1,418 certified B Corps. It is followed by the UK with 590, Canada in third with 323 and Australia in fourth with 296.

The remaining top ten countries are Brazil, Chile, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Argentina.

There are now just shy of 5,000 B Corps worldwide.
