Switch2 Energy lands operations contract for Greenford Quay heat network

Greystar has awarded a 25-year operations and maintenance contract to Switch2 Energy for its new Greenford Quay heat network.

Greenford Quay straddles the Grand Union Canal in West London and includes 2,000 homes for rent and sale, as well as 185,000 square feet of commercial and community space.

The low carbon district heating system includes two combined heat and power (CHP) engines, four gas boilers and a renewable power generation system made up of solar panels.

Switch2 has also been appointed to provide metering and credit billing services to residents and businesses at the canal-side development, which is currently open to residents and will be fully completed at the start of 2023.
