Holcim brings carbon-neutral concrete to the market

Holcim has announced it has received Climate Active certification to sell carbon-neutral products.

The Australian supplier of concrete says the certification will enable the firm to offset the embodied carbon of its ready-mix concrete on behalf of its customers on an opt-in basis through a transparent, third-party assured process resulting in carbon-neutral, ready-mix concrete.

The Climate Active certification is a new iteration of the Australian Government's carbon-neutral certification and supports businesses committed to sustainability and innovation.

Cyril Giraud, Holcim's National Development and Sustainability Manager, said: "Holcim is focusing on being a trusted solutions provider supporting customers to transition towards sustainable construction and a low carbon economy.

"Carbon-neutrality is a significant step towards achieving these ambitious goals."
