Transport for London (TfL) has appointed Baringa Partners as its strategic energy advisor.
The management consultancy will help the transport organisation develop a clearly defined strategy for the 'phased procurement' of renewable energy power purchasing, in order to meet its target of having a carbon-neutral rail system by 2030.
The firm states its upcoming Energy Purchasing Strategy will set an 'overall vision' and a 'defined strategy' for renewable energy sourcing and procurement.
Ilesh Patel, Global Strategy and Markets Lead of Energy & Resources at Baringa Partners, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by TfL to support it in delivering TfL’s commitments towards a zero carbon London.”
