Oxfordshire charity helps locals save energy

An Oxfordshire charity is helping communities save energy by installing energy efficiency measures.

The 'Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment2' has so far allocated more than £160,000 for measures such as double glazing, wall insulation and energy lighting.

The programme called 'Energy Reduction in Community Halls' (ENRICH) which has been running for three years, expects to provide up to £60,000 for the next round.

Communities can apply for a share  of the fund following energy audits to make their buildings more energy efficient.

Fiona Danks, Director of TOE2 said: “Through our ENRICH programme we have been able to benefit whole communities, making their halls and centres more user-friendly by the energy saving improvements we have helped facilitate."
