The Chief Economist of the International Energy Agency (IEA) made a trip to Korea to launch the World Energy Outlook.
Dr Fatih Birol highlighted some key energy-related issues from the previous year's outlook, which are pointing in "worrying directions". He stressed that global oil supply is diminishing, energy efficiency of the global economy has worsened and there has been a high increase in carbon emissions.
The event was hosted and jointly organized by the Korea Energy Economics Institute and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.
