EMR report to be published Monday

The findings of parliamentary Energy and Climate Change Select Committee over electricity market reform will be published on Monday morning.

The committee, chaired by Tory MP Tim Yeo, have had over five months to deliberate on evidence since the deadline for written evidence on 6th January 2011.

The Coalition agreement mentioned four key pillars of the project:

-A capacity-based market

-An emissions performance standard

-A carbon price floor

-Revision of the Renewables Obligation and the Feed-in Tariff system.

The Committee has examined both the overall aims of, and the Government's implementation plans for the EMR project.
