Impact of UK aid on Climate Change to be examined

The Environmental Audit Committee is to investigate the effects of UK overseas aid on environmental protection and climate change adaption and mitigation.

Chaired by Joan Walley MP, the Committee will start its enquiry next week on Wednesday 6 February and will question the following witnesses:

· Dr Tom Mitchell, Head of Climate Change, Environment and Forests Programme, Overseas Development Institute;

· Dr Thomas Tanner, Research Fellow, Institute of Development Studies; and

· Dr Camilla Toulmin, Director, International Institute for Environment and Development
