Toyota to only sell zero-emission vehicles in Western Europe by 2035

Toyota has pledged to make all new vehicle sales zero-emission in Western Europe by 2035.

It has stated that by 2030, a minimum of half its cars will be zero-emission, which includes both electric vehicles (EVs) and hydrogen fuel-cell cars.

The reason that the push for electrification by 2035 is only for the Western European market is because Toyota believes the rest of the world will not be ready by then to make the full switch to EVs, due to a lack of charging infrastructure and technologies.
