E.ON plans major solar project in Texas

E.ON has announced plans for a 100MW solar project in the US.

The West of the Pecos plant, located in Reeves County in Texas, will consist of 350,000 panels across an area equivalent to 550 football pitches.

The energy company expects the project to create 700 jobs and start generating electricity in 2020.

It said the “subscription rights” for 50MW of the plant have been sold to SK E&S.
