As their Strategic Account Manager, you will be an experienced, influential salesperson capable of managing sales to large and medium sized corporate customers. Key responsibilities:

  • Support overall strategy by targeting revenue opportunities in particular market sectors.
  • Utilise knowledge of clients’ previous spending, their current financial situation and the wider market, to identify the best opportunities for them.
  • Work with clients to identify their needs and drivers.
  • Develop a Strategic Development Plan for each client, including individually tailored solutions.
  • Manage sales process through to completion, including relationship development, negotiations and contract delivery.
  • Lead the sales support processes, including estimations and bid writing
  • Adhere to internal management reporting, authorization and governance guidelines.

 Skills and experience required:

  • Significant experience selling solutions or services to large corporate clients.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, including the ability to deliver detailed, professional sales proposals.
  • The motivation and drive to seek out new strategic opportunities.
  • Confidence, gravitas and strong influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Some understanding of the requirements of large energy customers.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including understanding of trade-offs between risks and rewards.
  • Proven experience working in the energy sector.
