Economy Energy ‘UK’s worst energy supplier’

Economy Energy ‘UK’s worst energy supplier’

Economy Energy has been rated the UK’s worst energy supplier for the second quarter in a row.

That's the result from a new Citizens Advice survey, which scores energy firms against five criteria including the way customer complaints are handled, how easy it is to switch, the quality customer service, how easy bills are to understand and whether the supplier is signed up to the Energy Switch Guarantee.

Economy Energy scored a rating of 1.8 out of five stars for the third quarter of the year, a fall from its previous low of 2.2 for its service between April and June.

The firm's performance has dropped from a relatively strong 3.85 in the first quarter of the year.

First Utility scored the highest in this quarter's figures with 4.4 out of five stars, closely followed by EDF Energy with a 4.2 rating.
