Revised permit for oil and gas site near Gatwick Airport

A new revised permit has been issued for an oil and gas site near Gatwick Airport.

Horse Hill Developments already held a permit to drill the exploratory borehole and manage waste arising from the process at the site in Surrey.

The revised permit allows it to drill a new borehole and carry out flow testing to understand the long term economic viability of the oil and gas reserves.

It is not however not allowed to carry out fracking.
