Got an idea for low carbon vehicle technologies?

Got an idea for low carbon vehicle technologies?

Funding worth up to £25 million is up for grabs to develop low carbon automotive technologies.

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and Innovate UK are investing the money through the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC).

The APC6 competition is seeking proposals for collaborative research and development projects.

Technology areas include internal combustion engines, lightweight vehicle and powertrain structure, alternative propulsion systems and energy storage and management.

Applicants must show how the project will deliver reductions in emissions and develop the UK’s supply chain in the field of low carbon vehicles.

Innovate UK states: "We are particularly encouraging projects that will develop disruptive technologies. They should also show how they will speed up the route to market for these new technologies."

The deadline for registration is 14th September 2016.
