npower cuts domestic gas prices by 5.2%

npower has become the latest Big Six energy supplier to announce gas price cuts.

Customers will see a 5.2% - or £32 - reduction on their gas bills from 28th March.

That will reduce the average standard domestic tariff from £623 to £591 annually.

The move follows similar cuts from rivals E.ON, SSE and ScottishPower.

Paul Coffey, CEO of RWE npower said: “This cut in gas prices is welcome news for many of our customers. We have balanced the wholesale price fall against increases in the other costs we are charged.”
