North East residents to save hundreds on energy bills

North East residents to save hundreds on energy bills

Residents in the North East can now save hundreds of pounds on their energy bills every year.

Cestria Community Housing has teamed up with Energy Angels in County Durham to help the local people switch to cheaper tariffs and advise them about saving energy in their homes.

Suzanne Jobson, Cestria's financial inclusion officer said: "We know that times are hard at the moment and we are always looking for new initiatives to help our tenants save money. Out partnership with Energy Angels will ensure our tenants are getting the best deal on their utility bills, as well as offering general advice about saving energy, and therefore money."

They will also help suppliers when tenants move in and out of properties and let them know about the damages and debts.
