Tesla to sell EVs to Europe

Electric muscle-car brand Tesla have opened a show room with service capability in Holland to service its growing European market. The state-of-the-art facility will have a full battery service and repair centre and other specialized EV equipment.

Tesla say the Benelux region of Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg is a market that has been receptive to the Roadster, Tesla' electric supercar, with over 100 cars registered.

George Blankenship, Tesla Vice President of Sales and Ownership Experience said: "The new Tesla showroom and service center allow us to inform and engage more people about our exciting cars and the many advantages of going electric, and are a great platform for the Roadster and Tesla's new premium sedan, the Model S."

Tesla has delivered more than 1,800 Roadsters, the world's first electric sports car, to customers world-wide. The model S goes on sale in Europe and Asia in late 2012.
