Renewable wave-power company Aquamarine have landed a deal to build wave projects off the west coast of Scotland.
The projects could see up to 40 Aquamarine Oyster machines built over an approximate 2km stretch of coast.
The company expect the sites to provide enough energy to power 38,000 homes.
There are two leases, one 10MW known as the Galson site and another 30MW secured under the Crown Estate's Saltire Prize- a global incentive to bring renewable projects to the Scottish seas.
