McKinnon and Clarke appoint Mark Dickinson as CEO

As of July 1st M&C Energy Group will shuffle their boardroom. CEO Simon Northrop is to become M&C's Strategic Development Director and Vice-Chairman, while Managing Director at Encore, Mark Dickinson, is to take over as CEO.

The Energy Consultants say that Mr Dickinson is "in a prime position to drive the business forward" as he is given the responsibility of delivering the company's three-year strategic plan.

M&C's Chairman Gerry Higgins said: "In challenging financial climates, organisations look to improve efficiency and competitiveness. Clients are looking for innovative energy products and consultancy expertise that deliver a robust energy and environmental solution, in some cases across numerous sites and in various markets.I am confident that with this enhanced management structure and our dedicated team of experts across the globe, M&C will lead the way."

During 2010, CEO Simon Northrop led the M&C's four acquisitions contributing to an increase in turnover for M&C from £23m to around £40m.
