EDF to subsidise Wickes insulation

EDF Energy has teamed up with DIY retailer Wickes to provide low-cost insulation for households.

In a deal running until December 2012, EDF will subsidise Wickes' insulation and energy saving lighting products.

EDF's head of energy services Angus Wilby said: "We all know how important it is to insulate our homes to save energy and money and this partnership will help more people do just that."

Ian Preedy, group buying director at Wickes, said: "Our partnership with EDF Energy allows us to offer our DIY customers insulation at extremely competitive prices."
