The South Korean firm has joined RE100, with plans to transition all overseas production sites, including in India and Vietnam, to using renewables by the end 2022

By 2030, the company intends to convert 60% of all energy sources used in its office building and internet data centre to renewable energy sources and achieve 100% renewable energy by 2040

The manufacturer of digital paper technology is also targeting 40% renewable energy use by 2025 and 100% renewable use by 2030

Its target forms part of a broader sustainability agenda that includes net zero carbon emissions by 2030

The company successfully achieved its target of reducing its carbon emissions by 60% worldwide last year

By applying science and technological expertise, 3M expects to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and 80% by 2040
