Ellesmere Port has become the UK’s inaugural manufacturing plant exclusively for electric vehicles, as Stellantis commences production of its all-electric small van

The firm has said the purchase would represent one of the longest agreed SAF supply deals to date

Once completed in 2027, the plant will eliminate an estimated 810,000 tons of CO2 per year – equivalent to slashing nearly 40% of all Stanlow emissions

The site will be based near Ellesmere Port and if approved could prevent more than 190,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year
