Pod Point will supply home charging points for Redrow’s new residential developments across England and Wales

The funding will enable the county council to part-fund up to 450 on-street charge points and 100 in public car parks

The three-year partnership will help make the National Parks more accessible for EVs drivers as well as support nature restoration, biodiversity, sustainability and well-being projects

The chargers will be supplied with 100% renewable electricity generated by offshore wind

They are being provided the funding from government and industry under the Local EV Infrastructure pilot scheme

The announcement follows the beauty giant achieving its goal to source 100% renewable electricity for its direct operations in 2020

The charger is matched directly with the EV’s real-time electricity consumption and enables drivers to dictate the date and time of charging and the desired level of charge

The retail site, operated by its Aral brand, in Germany has two 300kW chargers powered by 100% renewable energy

This will include 2,000 chargers across US motorways
