What is the FNZ Standard?
The Government has signed you, your business and all of us up to a 2050 net zero target. In June 2019, parliament passed legislation requiring the government to reduce the UK’s net emissions of greenhouse gases to Net Zero by 2050 based on 1990 levels.
The FNZ Standard with CBN Expert will be a way for you to record where you are, monitor your progress and benchmark yourself against your sector. It is designed to create a simple way for smaller businesses to show their credentials, which will be verified and audited by future Net Zero.

Whilst we have seen a growing number of larger organisations committing to reduce emissions fewer SMEs and microbusinesses have made the same pledge.
I don’t believe that it’s a lack of intent but more a lack of the right means for smaller companies to fully engage. Current programmes are often expensive and too complex. SMEs need a simple, cost effective way to start their journey.
That’s why I created CBN Expert. A simple, easy to use dashboard that allows SMEs to measure and breakdown their carbon footprint and take positive action.
