Electric sightseeing bus company Tootbus has published their ambitious climate plan to go climate neutral by 2030.
So far, they have fitted their Wandsworth depot in South London with solar panels which can generate 66,000kWh annually.
They also have a rainwater collection system which can supply their bus washing facility and digital formats that can reduce energy consumption in a low-tech operational approach.
Their aim is to reduce operational emissions by 10% and replace 100% Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) biofuel buses with electric buses by 2030.
Arnaud Masson, SVP Digital & Sightseeing at Tootbus said: 'As a leading player in urban tourism, we have the responsibility to raise public awareness about the fight against global warming.
'We are dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the cities we operate in, ensuring that future generations can continue to explore and enjoy these vibrant urban landscapes. Through our actions, we strive to inspire others to join us in caring for the planet.'
Currently, 35% of their buses are electric and the remaining buses run on biofuels (HVO and BioNGV) in Paris, London and Brussels.
