Net Hero Podcast – Health and net zero

This week I talk about the most important thing in life... health.

Without health there is no life and we are so lucky to have free health in this country thanks to the amazing people who make up the NHS. Covid only brought that into sharper focus, however the NHS now has a new challenge too.

Despite all the pressures of resourcing and demand, it is the biggest public sector employer and also has the biggest public sector carbon footprint. So how does the NHS go about tackling the net zero challenge?

Well in Manchester they have a plan and I spoke to Sarah Price, who's in charge of their ambition of getting to net zero by 2038 and cutting current emissions by half, in just three years!
