Mark Rose, Sales & Marketing Director at TotalEnergies, joined future Net Zero Founder Sumit Bose to discuss how all energy companies need to be involved in the green transition – including the big oil and gas players.

TotalEnergies rebranded from Total Gas & Power last year and Mark explains the choice was made to show a commitment to all types of energy, particularly renewables.

“We are a broad energy business not just oil and gas, the whole concept of TotalEnergies is around the various technologies we invest in and supply to our customers including power, gas supply.

“Obviously oil exploration is still a key part – but there’s also huge investment in renewables; we’ve got a solar business, we’ve got a battery business, we’re investing in carbon capture and storage and carbon sinks. We want to be one of the leading energy majors, as we move towards carbon net zero in 2050.”
