Agilent Technologies achieves UN-backed Green Lab Certification

Agilent Technologies, an analytical laboratory instrument manufacturing company, has achieved a UN-backed certification for sustainability best practices at its customer demonstration laboratory in Waldbronn, Germany.

The Green Lab Certification – believed to be the gold standard in laboratory sustainability best practices - from My Green Lab is recognised by the UN Race to Zero campaign as a key measure of progress for pharmaceutical and medical technology companies towards a zero carbon future.

The certification builds on Agilent's partnership with My Green Lab, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving laboratory sustainability, which includes adopting its ACT labels that provide consumers with information on the environmental impact of its instruments.

It is one of various sustainability initiatives being implemented by Agilent to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Padraig McDonnell, President of the Agilent CrossLab Group (ACG) and Agilent’s Chief Commercial Officer said: “This certification is another validation of Agilent’s commitment to sustainability.

“We’re implementing robust environmental practices in our own labs, becoming increasingly knowledgeable and in turn, better positioning Agilent to help our valued lab customers meet their own sustainability goals.”
