Applications are open for a scheme that offers up to £6,000 in grants for heat pump installations.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) has opened to property owners across England and Wales to help with the installation costs of air-source and ground-source heat pumps, as well as biomass boilers.
Homeowners can apply for up to £5,000 off the cost and installation of an air-source heat pump, £6,000 of a ground-source heat pump and £5,000 off biomass boilers.
The scheme is set to run for the next three years, with £450 million set aside by the government.
Energy performance of the properties in question must be accredited to certain standards to receive the grant and the capacity of the installation must not be more than 45KWth.
