Lucid lands order to deliver 100,000 EVs to Saudi Arabia

Lucid Group has won an order to deliver up to 100,000 electric vehicles (EVs) to Saudi Arabia over a 10-year period.

Under the agreement, the Government of Saudi Arabia will purchase an initial 50,000 EVs, with an option to buy an additional 50,000 green vehicles over the same period.

The order quantity is expected to range from 1,000 to 2,000 vehicles every year and increase to between 4,000 and 7,000 vehicles annually starting in 2025.

The delivery of the EVs, which include Lucid Air and other future models, is required to commence no later than the second quarter of 2023.

The 10-year deal is part of Saudi Vision 2030 and Saudi Green Initiative to transform the Kingdom using sustainable transportation and technologies.

“We are delighted to be supporting Saudi Arabia in achieving its sustainability goals and net zero ambitions, as outlined by Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative, by bringing our advanced luxury EVs to Saudi Arabia.”
