Petronas and Eneos boost hydrogen in Malaysia

The new project will produce 50,000 tonnes of clean hydrogen each year by 2026

Petronas has partnered with Eneos to accelerate hydrogen production in Malaysia.

Facilities being built are estimated to have a total hydrogen production capacity of 50,000 tonnes each year by 2026, which will be transported from Kerteh in Malaysia to Japan.

The Japanese government will fund the project through its Green Innovation Fund, as part of its long-term target of three million tonnes of hydrogen demand each year by 2030.
