Airbus to begin making hydrogen engines for its planes?

CEO Guillaume Faury has revealed it’s something the company could do in-house to speed up the process

Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury has stated that the company may begin building its own engines for hydrogen-fuelled planes.

This follows its aim of completing the world’s first zero-emission hydrogen commercial aircraft by 2035.

To speed-up this process and reach that target, Faury explained that the company might turn to producing its own engines for its aircraft, stating it’s “something we could basically do ourselves.”
