Buyers Edge Platform commits to net zero emissions by 2040

The company said it has already purchased enough carbon offsets to make it carbon-neutral in 2020

Software and analytics firm Buyers Edge Platform has made a commitment for net zero greenhouse gas emissions across its operations and value chain by 2040.

The company, which provides data-driven insights and technology to the food service industry, has joined the Science-based Targets initiative (SBTi), which drives climate action among businesses worldwide.

Buyers Edge Platform has already purchased enough carbon offsets to make the company carbon-neutral in 2020.

It intends to maintain carbon neutrality going forward through a mix of renewable energy purchases, emissions reductions and offsets.

Buyers Edge Platform CEO John Davie said: “Buyers Edge Platform has a strong commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues.

“Making our company carbon-neutral and working toward net zero emissions is an important part of showing our commitment to our employees, our partners, our community and the world.”
