ENA launches ‘incubator’ series for net zero

Energy Networks Association (ENA) has launched a new ‘incubator’ series to shine a light on the emerging technologies that can contribute towards achieving net zero emissions.

The ‘Next for Net Zero’ programme will delve into topics including domestic flexibility, system stability in a renewables market and hydrogen.

Quarterly events with regular publications will come as part of the programme, with the first event, taking place on 8th February, set to be focussed on the North Sea ‘supergrid’.

The series will be chaired by Dr Barbara Vest OBE.

David Smith, Chief Executive of ENA, said: “So far, much of what we’ve seen in the energy transition has been out of sight and out of mind for the consumer. Innovation is key to this and the networks are stepping up to deliver it.”

Dr Vest added: “It is a real pleasure to be chairing this new initiative where we’ll be answering the questions that are emerging as industry delivers on the government’s climate ambition.”
