Caval partners with Utility Team for future Net Zero Standard

Utility Team has partnered with Caval to support its journey in becoming a net zero organisation.

Utility Team’s partnership with the construction recruitment specialist will involve tracking its carbon footprint via the future Net Zero Standard and then identifying ways to reduce it.

The future Net Zero Standard with CBN Expert is an online carbon tracking technology designed to give organisations a visual representation of their current carbon footprint with the goal to implement reduction strategies whilst monitoring their progress to reduce this and become net zero.

The future Net Zero Standard gives customers accreditation for their achievements in reducing their footprints, these accreditations start at Benchmark, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

They are designed to demonstrate their efforts to their customers, which can also gain a competitive advantage.

Caval approached Utility Team after receiving a recommendation from one of its current clients about its success in supporting their business to reduce their carbon footprint and eventually achieve net zero.

During Utility Team's initial meeting with Caval, the company showed real interest in gaining a better understanding of how to reduce its carbon footprint through energy efficiency projects and switching from brown to green energy.

Caval is a UK market leading construction recruitment specialist that has a reputation for delivering an excellent service in providing clients with a flexible labour solution.

Jenny Reid, Business Development Manager for Caval, said: “Caval are excited to be leading the way in the recruitment industry by partnering with Utility Team and signing up to the future Net Zero Standard to benchmark and ultimately reduce our carbon footprint.

"Working with our multiple offices nationwide, we will be looking at ways to operate more sustainably as a business and we are committed to moving towards becoming a carbon-neutral company.

"We are aware that this is an issue at the forefront of many of our clients’ minds and we look forward to sharing our journey as well as providing assistance to them with their own 'Race to Zero' strategy.”

Robin Preston, Commercial Director at Utility Team, said: “We are really excited to have the opportunity to work with Caval on their net zero journey. Net zero is something we are extremely enthusiastic about and want to do everything we can to help businesses achieve this. We are looking forward to being part of their progress to becoming a net zero organisation.”
