‘You have to recognise the illness to find the cure’

"We are consuming more of the world's resources than is actually sustainable and for ourselves and our children, I think we have to start doing something about it."

That's the reason Michael Maltby, CEO and Founder of Jurassic Fibre, gives for looking to get his company started on their net zero journey and explains how Balanced Energy and the future Net Zero Standard with CBN Expert helped to make this happen.

On how Balanced Energy helped get Jurassic Fibre on their way, he stated: "We all know that a net zero journey doesn't happen overnight and without hard work but you have to recognise the illness to find the cure.

"They came in, we discussed it, they helped us baseline where we are and now we have the hard work of trying to execute and implement the values we have and live up to them."

On how the future Net Zero Standard helped incentivise them to make changes, he added: "Measuring yourself on the journey I think is one of the only ways to ensure you keep focused on continually reducing your footprint. Without that benchmarking, without that constant reminder - I think it's easy to forget about it, as we're all very busy."
