ScottishPower charges up The Macallan Estate for World EV Day

To commemorate World EV Day, ScottishPower is supporting The Macallan in its aims to have an entirely electric vehicle (EV) fleet by 2025.

ScottishPower has installed 10 charging points at the whisky distillery, which is enough to charge up to 20 vehicles at once.

Not only will the charging points help the company in realising its target; they will also be made available to guests of The Macallan Estate.

Stuart Cassells, General Manager, The Macallan Estate, commented: “Our distillery already sources 80% of energy from renewable sources and we have a number of initiatives in place to help reduce our carbon footprint.

“The installation of EV charging points is the next step on our sustainability journey at The Macallan Estate and an important milestone in helping us move towards a more sustainable future.”
