ABB to give hydrogen boost to EV network

ABB to give hydrogen boost to EV network

AFC Energy has delivered its first hydrogen fuel cell system to ABB.

The company claims its fuel cell is zero-emission and has been delivered to Estonia to be integrated into ABB’s electric vehicle (EV) charging systems.

AFC Energy has been working alongside ABB for the last six months to ensure the fuel cell was ready for integration into the ABB network and will eventually be marketed to its customers.

The companies aim for its use across private vehicle hubs, public transportation such as bus depots and port and marina charging.

Adam Bond, Chief Executive Officer at AFC Energy, said: “Today signifies a further important milestone in our relationship with ABB in bringing to market a leading high power, zero-emission, EV charging solution for adoption in many of the world’s grid constrained environments.”
