‘Drawing up a sustainable strategy and cutting emissions was surprisingly easy’

Drawing up a sustainable strategy and cutting emissions is surprisingly easy, once you find the right partner for the job.

That was the suggestion from Becca Rose, Founder of Becca Rose Beauty, who spoke to us about how she enlisted the help of James Staniforth's Sustainable Business Services to help her company take its net zero journey to the next level.

Becca had already made some significant steps in reducing the company's environmental impacts, such as cutting down on single-use plastics, stepping up the use of recyclable materials and introducing vegan products.

She then teamed up with Sustainable Business Services, which helped her quantify everything she was doing, identify where further opportunities reminded and work out a plan to deliver her ultimate sustainability goals on the road to net zero.

James equipped her with the future Net Zero Standard with CBN Expert,  which she emphasised was a vital tool in helping smaller businesses play their part in the clean transition.

Becca said: "It's easy as a company, as a small business especially, to say 'it's the big companies that should be doing this' - they should be, but so should the small companies, because it's amazing how much actually we produce and what we're contributing in terms of our carbon footprint.

"I think it's very easy for little small businesses or any businesses to go 'it's not my problem' but it really is, it's all of our problem. It's been surprisingly easy because of James and because of the tool and the dashboard that future Net Zero has provided. It makes it really clear and easy."
