PepsiCo uses 100% renewable energy for US operations in 2020

Its new sustainability report has revealed the action taken across the last year and its green targets for the future

PepsiCo has released its 2020 sustainability report, setting new climate-based targets in the process.

It has stated that it powered all its direct operations in the US last year with 100% renewable electricity and aims to add 15 more countries to that list by the end of 2021.

It is targeting a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its value chain by 2030 and has pledged to achieve net zero emissions across its global operations by 2040.

The drinks company also stated it packages its bottled in 100% recycled materials in 22 countries.
