SSE Energy Solutions is ready to drive businesses forward on the road to net zero

This year is set to be a pivotal year in the fight against climate change.

The arrival of COP26 this November in Glasgow means the decarbonisation of transport will be high on the agenda.

SSE is proud to be a principal partner for COP26, so here at SSE Energy Solutions, we welcome the opportunity to look at the urgent need to decarbonise transport provided by International Green Transport Week.

The initiative is designed to raise awareness of the relationship between transport and the environment; and coincides with the UN World Environment Day on 5 June and the EU Green Week.

Reaching net zero will require innovative solutions, bold government policies and businesses on the ground to take the lead on this agenda.

Yet when it comes to taking those first steps on the road to net zero it can be difficult for companies to know where to start.

SSE Energy Solutions can now provide end-to-end solutions for businesses looking to decarbonise their fleets – both in terms of infrastructure and tariff provision; thereby giving businesses a one-stop shop for their electric vehicle (EV) needs.

We want to be the partner of choice for companies that want to get on the road to net zero. SSE Energy Solutions has a compelling EV market offer where customers can get the right infrastructure and the right tariff together.

SSE Energy Solutions is working with landowners looking for development opportunities and fleet operators planning to convert their fleet to electric across the country, to reduce the gap in supply and demand for EV charging.

We want to build community rapid charging EV hubs that we own and operate so our clients can focus on their businesses.

Our workplace charging initiative means companies can be confident that their staff will be driving EVs powered from renewable sources. We are also developing bespoke tariff structures so we can help clients cut costs further.

SSE has the broadest portfolio of renewable energy generating assets in the UK and Ireland and through SSE Green, we can provide electricity that’s backed by Ofgem’s Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin scheme, to help companies cut their carbon emissions.

So, as we focus on how we can accelerate on the road to net zero, SSE Energy Solutions has the EV expertise for businesses and organisations to help get that journey started.
